Where we live

Many have asked where we live so we will share pictures of the kitchen, bathroom and one of the four 'sitting rooms' (bedroom or study, etc)without furnishings. It is on the second floor of a seven story apartment building. It is the full width of the building you see pictured and 4-6 windows long. The neighbor across the hall plays classical piano and it is beautiful. It was the residence of a former mission president in Moscow and was vacant just waiting for us to arrive.
There are nine foot ceilings and the bathrooms (3) are tiled up the wall 6 feet. There are two bathtubs and showers. There is a playground we can see out our windows which we have found is typical. There are several apartment buildings that surround a shady playground with winding streets throughout. There are several parks around our community where people just walk or sit on the benches just to get out in nature instead of their 7-10 story apartment buildings.
It is only a five minute walk to the nearest metro stop. Moscow residents use the metro like we use our car at home. There are so many people (14 million) here that there is no room for cars and it is so very easy to get around using the metro.

  1. Hello from home. We are so glad to hear and see all the new things you are doing. Remember I told you about the chalk art on Moscow sidewalks? One of the missionaries that did that spoke in our sacrament meeting last sunday. He said they gave out 80 books of Mormon in 2 days. Hope you get this because I don' know what I' doing. Maybe next time will be better. Keep in touch. Love, Mutti

  3. The apartment looks nice, but a little stark. I'm sure you've warmed it up with your shining presence!
